Most the time it's not a politically correct or religiously correct answer, but God's rightly-divided Word, when believed by the seeker ALWAYS brings Life More Abundant.
This is not the majority view, because most have been conditioned by the systems of this world to expect others to do their believing for them, and when the consequences of their unbelief befall them, blame God, or His Children. That's not our problem: Our responsibility is simply to take God at His Word so as to see the benefits and blessings, then follow up on opportunities to share them with those looking for correct answers, instead of convenient excuses.
God gave His Son the correct answer in a time of extreme need and temptation:
"Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered.
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
- Matthew 4:1-4
There are a few things that stand out and arrest the attention: First, Jesus was "led up of the Spirit". This tells us God had prepared him for all he was about to face, and he was meek and receptive to it; ready to act. If you read the context following, you find the adversary prefaces the temptations with a line specifically meant to cause Jesus to doubt who he is; not dissimilar from the way he most often comes at Believers today. If Satan can get you to doubt your spiritual heritage as a Son of God With All Power, the door is open for him to do all manner of damage.
All else failing, in Matthew 4:8-10 the adversary tries to get Jesus to become born of him by tempting him with political power in exchange for becoming serpent seed. Not only does Jesus Christ prevail in each circumstance, but does so with the correct answer to the challenge. God will do that much for any Believer of His Word in the spiritual competition of life!
This next record we're about to see may not seem relevant today, but I strongly suspect that as "evil men and seducers ...wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived"; as Rome expands her influence in Washington to almost complete control and her next President takes over, we might well be amazed at the evil and accusations which may need an answer of truth, especially with government already telling us in detail how we must do so many things in our private lives. When big religion and big government get in bed with each other, malevolent and deadly policies often result, as we see in almost pandemic form with political Islam in Saudi Arabia. In the third chapter of Daniel is recorded how King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon set up an idol to worship, and severe penalties for those who did not. That latter category included three believing young men named Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Eventually, someone called Crimestoppers, denounced them to the DHS or in some other way turned them over to the thought-police, and they wound up literally "facing the music":
"Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltry and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image I have made; well. but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into a burning fiery furnace; and who is that god who shall deliver you out of my hands?
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."
- Daniel 3:14-18
They weren't bowing, whether they burned or not, because they not only had the truth, the truth had them! The king had the furnace dialed up to well over full-blast; so hot the soldiers that bound and took up the three Believers to throw them in got killed by it. These Believers gave the correct answer in the face of accusation, and God delivered them so miraculously for their stand, even Nebuchadnezzar came around (Daniel 3:18-29), saying "There is no other God that can deliver after this sort"!
Like we discussed in our last post, standing fast in the liberty wherewith we've been made free is a Believers' duty, so when someone comes along saying you're not a "Christian" because you picked your nose, or didn't paint your toenails the "right" color or - as is more likely to come in the days ahead - you don't amen and salaam the latest propaganda from Der Holy Mother Schtaat, tell them you believe God's Word, which trumps the lies of men!
In closing, let's focus on how great a victory of salvation and deliverance we have in God's Son, Jesus Christ and ponder some of the great blessings God has given to us:
"For we are saved (sozo, made whole by) hope: But hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
But if we hope for what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."
- Romans 8:24-30
A born again Believer has the hope of Christ's soon return. He has the gift of Holy Spirit from the new birth, and the ability to operate the nine manifestations thereof, including perfect prayer. He has the assurance that not only is he called and chosen of his Father, God, but in Christ he has complete justification, and will be glorified with Christ at His Return. This is the accomplished, redemptive work of Jesus Christ: God has done all He can to provide us with all power and enablements.
He's waiting for us to do something:
"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not his own Son but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"
- Romans 8:31,32
A response of acceptance in action is required on our part, if we want to see the benefits of God. We have to live with this as a living reality in our minds and hearts. We have to believe the promises of God bigger than the lies of this world.
What follows are a series of rhetorical questions God asks by way of Paul, not to intimidate or coerce the Roman Believers, but to get them to see what they have inside is far superior to what their senses tell them about the realm outside.
"Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." We become Christ-like in manifestation according to the degree we let the Word dwell in us richly, because the Word of God takes the place of the physically-absent Christ, and fully-persuaded believing is how you manifest a life that's more than abundant!
